LIRR Port Jefferson Branch Service Suspended
Within the last couple of minutes, the LIRR has announced that service on the Huntington/Port Jefferson branch has been suspended in both directions between Hicksville and Huntington due to weather-related problems. I will post more as it comes in. xoxo Transit Blogger
Suffolk County Transit Service Cancelled
The storm is starting to taper off in NYC but the story is the not the same for Long Island, especially in Suffolk County where a snow emergency has been declared. Suffolk County Transit has cancelled bus service system wide. Your best bet is to stay home if possible. xoxo Transit Blogger

Metro-North Railroad Service Info
Here is the latest on the Metro-North service plan: Will operate on a Sunday schedule today, which features significantly less train service. Customers can expect crowded trains and delays. Due to the severity of the storm, the Waterbury branch will be temporarily suspended. xoxo Transit Blogger
