Service Advisory For Dominican Day Parade
Late yesterday afternoon, MTA New York City Transit issued a service advisory for this Sunday’s annual Dominican Day Parade. Here are the details via press release:
This year’s Dominican Day Parade will be held on Sunday, August 14 along the Avenue of the Americas starting at 37th Street and ending at 52nd Street. The parade kicks off at 2 p.m. and the best way to join the festivities is by mass transit.
Customers can take the D F N Q R or E to 34th Street-Herald Square, the D F or E to 42nd Street-Bryant Park, the D F or E to 47th-50th Street-Rockefeller Center, the F or E to 57th Street-6th Avenue or the 7 to 5th Avenue. Some station entrances/exits may be temporarily closed by the New York City Police Department as needed for crowd control. The following bus routes will take you to the parade area (and may be subject to some rerouting): M2, M3, M4, M5, M7, M16, M31, M34, M42, M57, M104, Q32, X1, X10, BxM2, QM2, QM4, QM5 and QM6.
Please note, this weekend, the E will operate over the F line in both directions between West 4th Street and Roosevelt Avenue.
