Metro North MLK Jr Day 2015 Service Plan
Here is the Metro-North service plan for the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr holiday:
On Monday, January 19, 2015, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Metro-North Railroad will operate on a Saturday schedule with 32 additional trains.
It is a federal holiday and New York City’s financial markets are closed. But for those people who are working, Metro-North will operate more trains than a normal holiday schedule. Extra New York City-bound trains during the morning and outbound in the late afternoon will be provided.
Metro-North will be operating a Saturday schedule with three extra Hudson Line trains, 14 Harlem Line extras as well as two additional Wassaic connections, and 13 extra New Haven Line trains, including branch connections.
Hudson Line:
Southbound
• 5:30 a.m. from Poughkeepsie, making local stops to Ossining, then Tarrytown, 125th Street and GCT.
• 6:30 a.m. from Poughkeepsie, making local stops to Ossining, then Tarrytown, 125th Street and GCT.
Northbound
• 3:17 p.m. from GCT, stopping at 125th Street, then Croton-Harmon to Poughkeepsie.
Harlem Line:
Southbound
• 5:40 a.m. from Southeast, making local stops to White Plains, then express to 125th Street and GCT.
• 6:55 a.m. from North White Plains, making local stops to Crestwood, then express to 125th Street and GCT.
• 6:14 a.m. from Southeast, making local stops to White Plains, then express to 125th Street and GCT. This train will meet the 5:30 a.m. from Wassaic, which will arrive in Southeast at 6:10 a.m.
• 6:40 a.m. from Southeast, making local stops to White Plains, then express to 125th Street and GCT.
• 7:55 a.m. from North White Plains, making local stops to Crestwood, then express to 125th Street and GCT.
• 7:40 a.m. from Southeast, making local stops to White Plains, then express to 125th Street and GCT.
• 8:55 a.m. from North White Plains, making local stops to Crestwood, then express to 125th Street and GCT.
Northbound
• 7:17 a.m., stopping at 125th Street, Fordham, then White Plains to Southeast.
• 8:17 a.m., stopping at 125th Street, Fordham, then White Plains to Southeast.
• 3:37 p.m., stopping at 125th Street, then Pleasantville to Southeast.
• 4:16 p.m., stopping at 125th Street, then Crestwood to North White Plains.
• 4:52 p.m., stopping at 125th Street, then Crestwood to North White Plains.
• 5:16 p.m., stopping at 125th Street, then Crestwood to North White Plains.
• 6:22 p.m., stopping at 125th Street, then White Plains to Southeast. A connection will be available to Wassaic, departing Southeast at 7:58p.m.
New Haven Line:
Westbound
• 5:28 a.m. from New Canaan, which will make a connection to an existing Saturday train departing Stamford at 5:50 a.m.
• 5:20 a.m. from New Haven, with local stops to Stamford, then 125th Street and GCT.
• 6:07 a.m. from Danbury, which will stop at South Norwalk at 7:00 a.m., then local stops to Stamford, then Greenwich, Port Chester, Rye, then express to 125th Street and GCT.
• 6:25 a.m. from New Haven, with local stops to South Norwalk, then Stamford, 125th Street and GCT.
• 6:10 a.m. from Waterbury, then Bridgeport, then express to Stamford.
• 7:53 a.m. from Stamford, stopping at Greenwich through Larchmont, then 125th Street and GCT.
• 8:33 a.m. from South Norwalk, stopping at Darien through Stamford, then Greenwich through Rye, then 125th Street and GCT.
Eastbound
• 7:34 a.m. stopping at 125th Street, Fordham, then Greenwich, Stamford, Noroton Heights, Darien, South Norwalk, Westport, and Fairfield through New Haven.
• 8:34 a.m. stopping at 125th Street, Fordham, then Greenwich, Stamford, Noroton Heights, Darien, South Norwalk, Westport, and Fairfield through New Haven.
• 3:50 p.m. stopping at 125th Street, Stamford, Darien, South Norwalk and all stops to Danbury.
• 4:55 p.m. stopping at 125th Street, then Rye to Stamford.
• 5:31 p.m. stopping at 125th Street, then Rye to Stamford.
• The Saturday train leaving at 7:34 p.m. will make a connection to Danbury, leaving South Norwalk at 8:38 p.m.
Off peak fares apply all day.
Additionally, the uptown exits of Grand Central North will be closed all day.
