LIRR Port Washington Service Restored

The MTA Long Island Rail Road just announced that service on the Port Washington line has been restored. Also due to the storm, they will not have direct service to the Islanders game at Barclay’s Center tonight. Here is more via the official press release:

LIRR train service is restored on the Port Washington branch as of 2:46 p.m. today. Babylon, Ronkonkoma, and Huntington branches were restored this morning. Train service was also restored in diesel territory – Oyster Bay, Port Jefferson and Montauk branches, and between Greenport and Ronkonkoma.

LIRR Train service remains suspended on the Far Rockaway, Hempstead, Long Beach and West Hempstead branches due to the on-going effects of this weekend’s blizzard.

MTA Long Island Rail Road customers heading to tonight’s New York Islanders game against the Detroit Red Wings at Barclays Center will not have regular game day service due to the ongoing effects of this weekend’s blizzard.

There is currently no service between Jamaica Station and Atlantic Terminal. Instead, LIRR tickets will be cross-honored by New York City Transit on the 2 and 3 trains from Penn Station to Atlantic Av Station. Monitor our website, at mta.info, for updates on service restorations.
