Metro-North Memorial Day Service Info
Here is the Metro-North’s Memorial Day service plan:
MTA Metro-North Railroad will offer 16 extra trains throughout the afternoon of Friday, May 27, to help you get an early start on the long Memorial Day weekend. On Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29, Metro-North will operate a regular weekend schedule.
Then on Memorial Day itself, Metro-North will operate on a Sunday schedule, with five extra trains on the New Haven Line as detailed below. Most connecting services will not operate on Monday May 31, however, the Tappan Zee Express will operate on a Saturday schedule. Here are schedule details for Friday, May 27, and Memorial Day, Monday, May 30:
Special Schedule Details for Friday, May 27
Hudson Line
Four extra “getaway” trains will depart from Grand Central at:
• 1:47 PM, stopping only at Harlem-125th Street and Croton-Harmon.
• 2:40 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, Beacon, New Hamburg and Poughkeepsie.
• 3:25 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, Beacon, New Hamburg and Poughkeepsie.
• 4:05 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, Beacon, New Hamburg and Poughkeepsie.
The Poughkeepsie-bound train that departs Grand Central at 5:31 PM, and the Beacon-bound train that departs Grand Central at 5:34 PM will be combined. The combined train will depart Grand Central at 5:34 PM and make all stops between Croton-Harmon and Poughkeepsie.
Two trains that usually depart Grand Central will not operate:
• The 5:57 PM departure to Croton-Harmon.
• The 6:20 PM departure to Croton-Harmon.

Harlem Line:
Four extra “getaway” trains will depart from Grand Central at:
• 1:45 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, then all stations between Chappaqua and Southeast.
• 3:12 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, White Plains and North White Plains only.
• 3:37 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, White Plains, then all stations between Goldens Bridge and Southeast.
• 4:07 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, then all stations between Chappaqua and Southeast.
The Wassaic-bound train that departs Grand Central at 6:02 PM will make additional stops at Bedford Hills and Katonah.
Four trains that usually depart Grand Central will not operate:
• The 5:25 PM departure to Brewster.
• The 5:54 PM departure to Crestwood.
• The 6:09 PM departure to Brewster.
• The 7:04 PM departure to North White Plains.

New Haven Line:
Eight extra “getaway” trains will depart from Grand Central at:
• 1:04 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, Westport, and all stations between Fairfield and New Haven.
• 2:04 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, Westport then all stations between Fairfield and New Haven.
• 2:31 PM, making all stops between New Rochelle and Harrison.
• 2:59 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, then all stations between Stamford and South Norwalk.
• 3:02 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, then all stations between New Rochelle and Harrison.
• 3:24 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, Stamford, Westport and all stations between Fairfield and New Haven.
• 3:27 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, then all stations between New Rochelle and Harrison.
• 3:50 PM, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, then all stations between Fairfield and New Haven.
The Harrison-bound train that departs Grand Central at 5:17 PM, and the New Rochelle-bound train that departs Grand Central at 5:20 PM will be combined. The combined train will depart Grand Central at 5:20 PM and will stop at Harlem-125th Street and all stations between Mount Vernon East and Harrison.
The Harrison-bound train that departs Grand Central at 5:59 PM, and the New Rochelle-bound train that departs Grand Central at 6:02 PM will be combined. The combined train will depart Grand Central at 6:02 PM, and will stop at Harlem-125th Street, and all stops between Mount Vernon East and Harrison.
Three trains that usually depart Grand Central will not operate:
• 5:36 PM GCT departure to Harrison.
• 7:11 PM GCT departure to Harrison.
• 8:04 PM GCT departure to New Haven.
Memorial Day Special Trains on the New Haven Line:
To supplement a regular Sunday schedule, Metro-North will operate three additional evening westbound trains toward Grand Central on Memorial Day, as well as two additional eastbound express trains to New Haven.
The express trains to Grand Central will depart from New Haven Union Station at 5:50 PM, 6:50 PM and 7:50 PM. They will make all local stops to Fairfield, then stop at Westport before running express to Grand Central.
Metro-North will operate two additional eastbound trains from Grand Central to New Haven Union Station as follows:
• A train will depart Grand Central at 4:04 PM making its first stop at South Norwalk before making all local stops to New Haven Union Station.
• A train will depart Grand Central at 7:57 PM, making its first stop at Westport, before making all local stops to New Haven Union Station.
