Service Diversions 05-06-13

I have just updated the Service Diversions by removing the weekend work that wrapped up a few minutes ago & moving up the latest planned work for this week, next weekend & beyond in some cases.

As a reminder, FASTRACK will begin tonight in Brooklyn along 4th Ave on the N Train & R Train so click here for complete information.

Fastrack Coming To 4th Ave In Brooklyn

Starting this Monday, FASTRACK will be coming to the N Train & R Train along 4th Ave in Brooklyn. Here are details via the press release I received:

On Monday, May 6, MTA New York City Transit brings FASTRACK to the N and R Fourth Avenue line in Brooklyn. N trains are rerouted via the D line in both directions between 36th Street and Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue. Special N shuttle trains will operate between Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and 8th Avenue. This FASTRACK will operate from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., for four consecutive weeknights from Monday, May 6 to early Friday morning, May 10. Regular R service between Forest Hills-71st Avenue in Queens and 36th Street in Brooklyn will end at the regularly scheduled time.

Travel alternatives:

• Take free shuttle buses to and from 95th Street, 86th Street, 77th Street, Bay Ridge Avenue, 59th Street, 53rd Street, 45th Street and 36th Street stations in Brooklyn
• Take the special N shuttle trains to and from N stations between Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and 8th Avenue, Brooklyn.
• Transfer between free shuttle buses and D, N or R trains at 36th Street.
• Transfer between the special N shuttle trains and D or N trains at 62nd Street-New Utrecht Avenue or Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue.
