Once again this racing season, the MTA New YorK City Transit & MTA Bus will once again be providing bus service that services Belmont Racetrack. Here are complete details via the press release I received:
MTA New York City Transit and MTA Bus announce that beginning Friday, April 27 until Sunday, July 15, the Q2 and Q110 buses will again directly serve Belmont Park Racetrack. On days that the racetrack is open, the buses will discharge and pick up customers at the Belmont bus terminal.
There is direct Q2 service from the 179th Street F station and from the 165th Street Bus Terminal and direct Q110 service from the Parsons Boulevard F station and from the Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer EJZ station to Belmont Park.
Eastbound (towards Belmont Park), the Q2 and Q110 will follow their regular route to the Cross Island Parkway northbound entrance ramp, then onto the racetrack terminal via Lane #1. Customers will be discharged at the escalator leading to the LIRR/Racetrack overpass. Westbound (towards Jamaica), the buses will pick up customers in Lane #1 at the designated Q2 and Q110 bus stops, then continue on their regular routes.

Staten Island Railway Weekend Service Diversion
In some rare Staten Island Railway news, riders should note that service will not be available at St. George Ferry Terminal this weekend. Here are complete details via press release:
MTA Staten Island Railway (SIR) reminds customers that this upcoming weekend, SIR will shut down service for a second weekend at the St. George Ferry Terminal so that vital drainage work can be performed. Free shuttle bus service will be provided between the St. George and Tompkinsville stations.
Beginning 9 p.m. Friday, April 19 until 4 a.m. Monday, April 23, SIR workers will remove rail, ties and ballast in order to install drainage piping in the tunnel and upgrade the track. Shuttle buses will be available at St. George on the skyway located above the bus ramps and at the Tompkinsville station on the corner of Bay Street and Victory Boulevard.
Other workers, taking advantage of this outage, will be installing floors in the St. George Terminal and running cables for improved communications. NYC Department of Transportation will conduct bus ramp work, condition assessments and environmental projects.
